①Festival of Lights at VanDusen Botanical Garden



It is a light up of Vancouver’s largest botanical garden, “VanDusen”. Illuminations inside the garden are very beautiful and create a wonderful romantic, festive atmosphere. Bundle up as the garden is outdoors but there is a tent with a heater so you do not need to worry too much about the cold.

②Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge



Capilano Bridge in the winter is attractive enough to beat the view of Capilano Bridge in the summer. The entire bridge is lit up with Christmas lights to offer a fantasy like experience of the Canyon. Please enjoy the nice collaboration of nature with illumination.

③ Lights of Hope (St. Paul’s Hospital)



This display of lights is set up at the entrance of St. Paul’s Hospital on Burrard St and is set up by 150 volunteers using donated materials. The display is to gain support for hospitals in the lower mainland that provide care for the many. Bring a donation to show your support.

④Stanley Park

It is a free illumination at Vancouver’s largest park, “Stanley Park”.


Admission is free if you only see the illumination but if you’d like to ride the Christmas train, there is an extra admission charge.

When the Halloween Illumination event is over, they begin setting up the Christmas version. It is a great way to spend the evening with family, friends or loved ones.
