Vancouver, get ready because the 12th annual BC Spot Prawn Festival is back.


This fest will take place on Saturday, May 12 at the False Creek Fishermen’s Wharf which is located at 1505 W 1st Avenue.

The prawns in BC, Canada are sweet and fresh, and it is said that it’s more delicious than prawns raised by aquaculture.

Generally, harvesting takes place for 6 to 8 weeks beginning in May. A standard season yields about 2,450 tons of prawns. Most of them are consumed in Asian countries, including Japan.

This harvest festival began from the voice saying “we want to enjoy prawns more locally”.
